WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Life University volleyball (10-1) knocked off Keiser (3-8) 3-1 (25-14, 25-18, 25-22, 25-20) on Saturday during day two of the 2017 Labor Day Volleyfest. This marks the squads 10th straight win.

Two Running Eagles notched double-digit kills in the win. Junior Liz Mann posted her fourth double-double of the season with 15 kills and 10 digs. Junior Chelsea Hill logged 11 kills, a block and a dig. Junior Gaby Ferrán contributed 20 digs and an ace. Junior Miriam Goodfriend added 25 assists, seven digs, a block and an ace.

The first began tightly contested with both teams traded point early. Life U was able to gain a little distance at 11-7. The squad stretched their lead to 16-10. The Running Eagles closed out the set on a 9-3 run and claimed the frame with a 25-14 decision.

Life U used its momentum from the first set to open the second on a 10-4 run. Keiser attempted a comeback, but never quite had an answer for the Running Eagles' runs. Life U eventually took the set 25-18.

Somewhere between the end of the second set and beginning of the third set Keiser found a spark and open the third frame on a 10-2 run. The Running Eagles spent the remainder of the set chipping away at the lead, but the comeback came up short with the KU taking a 25-22 decision and forcing a fourth set.

It looked like the momentum had completely flipped to Keiser as they opened the fourth frame on a 7-1 run. However, Life U shook it off and rebounded, tying the set at 9-9. From there, the Running Eagles took control and eventually claimed the match and the set 25-20.

Life U is back in action this afternoon as they face off against Kansas Wesleyan in their final match of the Labor Day Volleyfest.
