Running Eagles Fall To Georgetown 3-0

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Life University (13-6, 1-2 MSC) fell to Georgetown College (7-1, 2-1 MSC) on Friday by a score of 3-0 (25-7, 25-12, 25-21).

Zykeria Allen led the squad with four kills, as well as an assist and a dig. Junior
Liz Mann and Sophomore
Deandra King each contributed three kills apiece.

The Running Eagles were slow out of the gate and fell behind 12-1 to Georgetown early in the first set. Unfortunately, they never recovered and dropped the set 25-7.

The first set was little more competitive than the first set both teams trading points early. However, the Tigers eventually gained the advantage and rolled to a 25-12 decision.

The third set also began close. Georgetown to a 11-7 and never relinquished it. They eventually to the set and the match with a 25-21 decision.

Life U is back in action on Sept. 29 as they travel to Lebannon, Tenn. to face off against Cumberland.
