MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's volleyball team dropped its third straight Mid-South Conference Matchup 3-1 on Saturday afternoon to Campbellsville University at home.
NOTES
• Life U fell to 9-19 (3-7) on the year, while Campbellsville improved to 17-8 (8-2).
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Liz Mann led the Running Eagles with a double-double on 13 kills and 18 digs.

Marin Black totaled 18 digs while
Chelsea Hill finished with 11.
•
Amber Harris provided a season-high 36 assists in the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Life U led 4-1 early in set one, and still led 6-4 after a block from Zimmerman and Hill. Campbellsville responded with a 5-1 run to lead 9-7, but a 3-0 run from Life U gave the Running Eagles a 10-9 lead. Both teams traded the lead as a 4-0 run put Life U ahead 16-12 after another block from Zimmerman and Hill. Campbellsville exploded with an 8-1 run to lead 20-17, but Life U used a 4-1 run to tie the set at 23. The Tigers recorded the final two points to take set one 25-23.
• Life U again led early in set two 8-2, and extended the lead to eight, 17-9, after a kill from Narvaez. Life U finished the second set with a double-digit lead as Thompson provided the final kill to even the sets at one with the 25-14 win in set two.
• Campbellsville used an early 9-2 run in set three to lead 11-4. Campbellsville maintained a double-digit lead for most of set three to earn the 25-14 win over Life U and take the lead two sets to one.
• Campbellsville led 6-2 early in set four, but a kill from Mann cut the lead to three, 11-8. Campbellsville finished the match on a 14-3 run to take the fourth set 25-11, and the match three sets to one over Life U.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Life U led Campbellsville in kills 41-39. Life U finished with a hitting percentage of .079 as Campbellsville finished with a .118.
• Life U committed 29 errors to the 23 from Campbellsville.
• Campbellsville held a 7-5 advantage in blocks over Life U, and the Tigers held a 72-68 advantage in digs over the Running Eagles.
