Women's Soccer Falls to Middle Georgia on Senior Night

MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's soccer team fell at home to Middle Georgia 4-0 on senior night Wednesday night.  
 
NOTES
• Life U fell to 6-10 on the year, while Middle Georgia improved to 9-7-1.
• Seniors Katelynn Harbeke, Miranda Kiff and Josie Davis were honored at halftime of the match. They have led the Life U team to its program-best in wins with six and are the first class to make it through the three-year program. 
 
STANDOUT PERFORMERS 
Jasmine Turner led the way for Life U with five shots and four on frame in the match.
Callie Lambert added four with two on frame as Davis finished with three and one on frame. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
• Middle Georgia scored first in the 22ndminute of the match as Theriault scored unassisted for an early 1-0 Knights lead.
• Life U had four shots in the final 23 minutes of the half as Middle Georgia held a 1-0 lead at the half. 
• Middle Georgia added its second goal of the match in the 490thminute as 
Downey found the back of the net with the assist from Theriault.
• Theriault finished the hat-trick with goals in the 76thand 84thminute that were assisted by Downey and Garcia.
• Life U was unable to find a goal in the match as Middle Georgia finished with the 4-0 victory.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Life U outshot Middle Georgia 15-13 during the match. The Knights however held the advantage in shots on frame over the Running Eagles 9-8.
• Middle Georgia led 8-4 in corner kicks over Life U.
• Life U outshot Middle Georgia 9-5 in the first half.

• The women's soccer team will finish the regular season on Sunday, October 28 as they travel to Columbia, Ky. to face Lindsey Wilson College in the Mid-South Conference finale at 3 PM.
