MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's basketball team defeated Voorhees College 55-51 Tuesday night on the road to increase the current win-streak to four.
NOTES
• Life U improved to 6-2 on the year.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
•
Maeisha Teasley picked up 12 points with eight steals in the game. She added five rebounds and an assist.
•
Tierra Tullis also tallied 12 points in the game. She also picked up three steals with five rebounds.
•
Tierra Lindsey totaled a team-high 11 rebounds with a steal and three points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Life U outscored Voorhees 11-10 to lead by one after the first quarter.
• Early in the second quarter, Voorhees made a run, however Life U finished the quarter ahead by three, 28-25.
• Both teams totaled 18 points in the third quarter, as Life U clung to the three point lead, 46-43.
• Both teams struggled offensively in the fourth quarter, however Life U managed to hold on and outscore Voorhees 9-8 in the fourth to earn the 55-51 road victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Life U finished 21-for-63 from the field, 33.3%, while Voorhees shot 17-for-66, 25.8%.
• Life U shot 12-for-20, 60.0%, from the free-throw line as Voorhees finished 12-for-23, 52.2%.
• Life U led Voorhees in points off turnovers 23-19.
