MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's basketball team fell to Reinhardt University 79-70 on the road Saturday evening, despite outscoring the Eagles 30-19 in the fourth quarter.
NOTES
• Life U fell to 2-2 on the year, while Reinhardt improved to 1-0.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
•
Tierra Tullis led the way for Life U offensively with 14 points. She added six rebounds with four steals and three assists.
•
Maeisha Teasley was the only other Running Eagle to score in double figures with 10 points. She also had four steals with a block and three boards.
• Ashton Sutton led the way for Reinhardt with her game-high 21 points. She finished 5-for-7 from behind the arc and a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Four minutes into the first quarter, Reinhardt led 9-3 after a jumper from Sutton. Life U struggled to get into the offensive system in the first ten minutes, as the Eagles led the Running Eagles 22-8 heading into the second quarter.
• Life U brought the game to within six, 24-18, five minutes into the second quarter after a pair of free throws finished the 10-2 run. Reinhardt finished the half on a 9-4 run to lead 33-22 at the break.
• The Life U shooting struggles continued in the third quarter as Reinhardt led by a game-high 29, 59-30, before a jumper from Glenn finished the third quarter. Life U trailed 60-40 heading into the final ten minutes.
• Despite outscoring Reinhardt 30-19 in the fourth quarter, Life U was unable to overcome the early deficit as Reinhardt earned the 79-70 victory.

• Life U finished 24-for-81 from the field, 29.6%, while Reinhardt shot 26-for-66, 39.4%.
• Life U held the advantage in the turnover margin over Reinhardt 19-34, and converted 31 points off of the turnovers.
