GEORGETOWN, Ky. – No. 25 Life University (18-8, 6-4 MSC) upset No. 10 Georgetown (21-4, 6-4 MSC) 87-75 on Saturday, completing the season sweep.
"I am really proud of how our guys approached this very important road stretch," Head Coach Keith Adkins said. "To keep pace with the top of this conference, we had to have these last two games. Winning today, on the road against a Top 10 team, was a huge momentum builder. Once again, give our guys all of the credit. Now we will see if we can carry that into the next two weeks, where we end the regular season with four straight home games. With each game coming up, there will be more at stake with each one."
Four Running Eagles finished in double digits in the win. Junior
Jay Johnson paced the squad with 18 points as well as seven rebounds and a steal. Both Senior
Undra Mitchem and junior
David Scott put up 15 points, with Mitchem adding five rebounds, two steals and an assist and Scott adding three rebounds and two assists. Senior
Zach Landis also had an impressive line with 20 rebounds, four points and two assists.

After the intermission, it was more of the same from the first half. However, The Tigers attempted to mount a late comeback and trimmed the lead to 10 at 84-74 with 18 seconds left, but it was too little too late as Life U came away with a 87-75 victory.
