Pikeville, KY.  Fifth-seeded Campbellsville took control of the second half to upset fourth-seeded Life in the first round of the MSC Men's Basketball Tournament, 82-64. 
 
The Tigers (22-9) used a strong defensive effort after halftime to secure the win.  After Life (20-11) shot 51.6 percent in the first half, Campbellsville limited Life to just 8-of-33 (24.2 percent) after the break. Life lead the Tigers 42-34 after the first half, with Deven Dorsett Scoring 13 of his team-high 20 points before the final frame. 
 
Campbellsville came out firing in the second half, going on an 18-0 run to take a 52-42 lead over the Running Eagles.  Life's Michael Miller knocked down two free throws to end the Running Eagles' nearly five-minute draught. 
 
Zach Landis scored 10 points in addition to 10 rebounds for the Running Eagles, who will have to wait until March 7th to know if they make it into the 32-team field of the NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City, which begins March 14th.  The Running Eagles were national runners-up in the 2017 national tournament.
