LEBANON, Tenn. ---- The Life University women's basketball team snapped its four-game losing streak on the road Thursday night with an 87-77 win over Cumberland University in Mid-South Conference play.
NOTES
• Life U improved to 12-6 (2-4) on the year, while Cumberland fell to 5-12 (1-4).
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
•
Shikiya Brown led the way for the Running Eagles offensively with 21 points. She added four boards, three assists and two steals.
•
Naomi House also finished in double figures with 15 points. She tallied three rebounds, two steals and a block.
• 11 different players scored in the contest tonight for the team offensive win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Cumberland led 7-2 early into the first quarter. Life U trailed 9-4, before a 7-0 run gave the Running Eagles an 11-9 lead after a free-throw from Bentley at the five-minute mark.
• Cumberland tied the game at 11, however Life U finished the quarter on a 14-2 run to lead 25-13 after a late three from Allen to end the quarter.
• Five minutes into the second quarter, a fast break layup from House put Life U ahead by 21, 34-13, as the Phoenix had not scored in the quarter.
• Life U held a commanding 43-26 lead at the half over Cumberland.
• Six minutes into the third quarter, back-to-back baskets from Atkins put the Running Eagles ahead 59-36. Heading to the fourth quarter, Life U led by 17, 67-50.
• Cumberland cut the lead to 12, 71-59, in the first four minutes of the fourth quarter. A three from Glenn put the Running Eagles ahead by 17, 78-61, with 3:55 on the clock. However, a late 11-1 run from Cumberland brought the game to within seven, 82-75. Life U was able to secure the road win with a pair of free-throws from Tullis with seven seconds on the clock for the 87-77 win over Cumberland.

• Life U finished 32-for-73 from the field, 43.8%, while Cumberland shot 21-for-66, 31.8%.
• Life U shot 16-for-23, 69.6%, from the free-throw line as Cumberland finished 29-for-40, 72.5%.
• Life U forced 29 turnovers and scored 35 points off of them.
