MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University men's soccer team upset No. 6 nationally ranked Lindsey Wilson 1-0 at home Tuesday night for the first time in program history.
NOTES
• Life U improved to 8-3 (5-0) on the year as Lindsey Wilson fell to 9-3 (5-1).
• The win marked a program record for the highest nationally ranked team defeated.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Thierry Jules provided the heroics for the Running Eagles with the lone goal of the match. He finished with a match-high six shots with four on frame.
•
Stan Vandierendonck added four shots as
Luciano Diaz tallied three. Each placed one shot on frame.
•
Fabian Pekruhl earned the shutout with three saves in goal as the defensive line held the Blue Raiders to just five shots in the first half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Four minutes into the match, Vandierendonck put an early shot on frame as the Lindsey Wilson keeper made the save.
• Five minutes later in the ninth minute Vandierendonck missed just wide.
• 30 minutes into the match, Lindsey Wilson had not recorded a shot on frame.
• In the 34
th minute of the match, Jules played the ball off his right and the left footed curler found the back of the net to put Life U ahead 1-0.
• Life U held a 1-0 advantage at the break as Lindsey Wilson had yet to record a shot on frame.
• Pekruhl recorded all three of his saves in the final 20 minutes of the second half to earn the shutout in goal and preserve the 1-0 upset victory for Life U.
