BOWLING GREEN, Ky. ---- The Life University women's soccer team concluded the 2019 season with a 7-1 loss to No. 7 nationally ranked Lindsey Wilson in the opening round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament.
NOTES
• Life U finishes the season to 2-15.
• At the MSC banquet held Wednesday night, Life U recognized 15 student athletes on the Academic All Mid-South Conference Team.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Alexandra Collighan scored the lone goal for the Running Eagles in the 80
th minute of the match. She led the team with three shots on frame.
•
Sarah Slingluff totaled a team-high four shots with one on frame.
•
Zoe Hagan,
Mathilde Sletner,
Alice Walford and
Allyse Roberts each added a shot on goal during the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• One minute into the match, an early penalty resulted in Lindsey Wilson taking an early 1-0 lead.
• The Blue Raiders added goals in the 21
st and 30
th minute of the first half as well.
• Seconds before the halftime buzzer, Lindsey Wilson scored again to lead 4-0 at the break.
• Lindsey Wilson added goals in the 51
st and 64
th minute as the Running Eagles scored an own goal to put the Blue Raiders ahead 7-0.
• Collighan scored the final goal of the match in the 80
th minute as Life U fell 7-1 to Lindsey Wilson in the MSC Tournament.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Despite the score line, Life U trailed Lindsey Wilson 15-14 in total shots and had just one less shot on frame 9-8.
• The Lindsey Wilson keeper totaled seven saves in goal to the two from Vila Punset.
• Lindsey Wilson held a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks, however Life U outshot Lindsey Wilson 7-6 in the second half.
