MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's volleyball team fell in five sets to the University of the Cumberlands on senior night in the regular season Mid-South Conference finale.
NOTES
• Life U fell to 19-10 (9-7) on the year, as Cumberlands improved to 17-12 (7-9).
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Lena Pucnik and
Zykeria Allen led the way offensively with 16 kills each. Pucnik added another double-double with 12 digs.
• Zimmerman also finished in double figures with 12 kills as
Alia Dorland tallied 21 digs.

Marin Black led the team with 32 digs as
Taylor Parrish finished with 52 assists
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Cumberlands led 7-6 early in set one before a 6-1 run put the Running Eagles ahead 12-8. The Patriots responded with a 4-1 run to cut the lead to one, however a 6-1 run featured a trio of Allen kills to put Life U ahead 20-14. Life U finished the set on a 3-0 burst as Pucnik recorded the final kill to win 25-19.
• Cumberlands led 11-6 early in set two, before a 4-0 Life U run featured a pair of kills from Benton to cut the lead to one. The Patriots responded with a 5-1 run to lead by five. Life U again featured a 4-0 run to cut the lead to one, 16-15. Cumberlands used a late 6-1 run to take the second set 25-20.
• Cumberlands led 6-2 early in set three. Life U battled back to cut the lead to one, 10-9, after a kill from Zimmerman. Cumberlands led by as many as seven in set three, 18-11, and finished the set ahead 25-17.
• The fourth set started back and forth as the Running Eagles led 13-10. Life U used a 10-1 run to take a commanding 23-11 day. A block from Zimmerman sealed the set in favor of Life U, 25-13.
• Cumberlands started the fifth set ahead and went into the switch with an 8-5 lead. The Patriots used a late 3-0 lead to gain a 13-8 advantage. On match point 14-11, Life U responded with a 4-0 run to earn match point 15-14. Cumberlands finished the match on a 4-1 run to earn the 18-16 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Life U edged Cumberlands in kills 68-51. Life U finished with a hitting percentage of .170 as Cumberlands finished with a .184. The Running Eagles committed 34 errors in the match to the 18 from the Patriots.
• Cumberlands led Life U in aces 8-7 and blocks 12-7.
• Life U finished ahead of Cumberlands in digs 103-93 and assists 58-48.
