WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. ---- The No. 6 seeded Life University women's lacrosse team fell to No. 5 nationally ranked and No. 3 seeded Marian University 23-5 Thursday afternoon in the Mid-South Conference Tournament.

• Life U finishes its inaugural season 7-8, as Marian improved to 13-3.

Skylar Clum recorded a team-high four ground balls with two caused turnovers and a goal.

Lauren Rielly added a goal and an assist with four draw controls.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
• Marian jumped out to an early 4-0 run in the first five minutes of play, however Rielly scored in the nineth minute to cut the lead to three.
• Marian responded with three unanswered to lead 7-1. Before Eagen found the back of the net at the halfway mark of the first half.
• Another 3-0 run put the Knights ahead 10-2. Kallish and Le each scored in the final seven minutes of the half, however Marian took a 14-4 lead into the locker rooms with a goal two seconds before the buzzer.
• Clum provided the only offense for Life U in the second half with a goal in the 57
th minute of the match. Marian scored nine goals in the second half to advance in the tournament on the 23-5 victory.
