CLEVELAND, Ga. ---- The Life University men's soccer team defeated Truett McConnell 1-0 on the road Thursday night as Wesley Soronellas scored the game-winner in the 73^rd minute.  
 
NOTES
• Life U improved to 3-1 on the year as Truett McConnell fell to 1-4.
 
STANDOUT PERFORMERS 
• Soronellas scored the only goal of the match and finished with four total shots.
• Thierry Jules added the assist and added a team-high six shots with three on frame.
• Luka Zakarija totaled three saves in goal to preserve the shutout.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
• Truett McConnell had two chances early at goal in the first 20 minutes of the half as Cortes tallied the first shot on frame for Life U.
• Neither team had many chances in the remainder of the first half as the score was tied 0-0 at the break.
• Life U controlled the tempo to start the second half with a 5-0 shot differential in the first twenty minutes.
• Playing up a man due to a red card, Soronellas found the back of the net for the Running Eagles in the 73^rd minute after countless chances with Jules playing the ball off into the box. Truett McConnell added two more shots in the final 15 minutes but were unable to find the equalizer to give the Running Eagles the 1-0 road victory.
