MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's soccer team outshot Dalton State University 12-8 Sunday night, but were unable to find the back of the net in a 2-0 loss at home.
NOTES
• Life U fell to 0-7 on the year, as Dalton State improved to 4-2.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Alexandra Collighan led the Running Eagles with five shots and one on frame.
•
Sarah Slingluff added two shots with both on frame in the match as well.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Dalton State scored its first goal of the match in the 20
th minute, which was also the first shot on frame for either team.
• Five minutes later the Roadrunners added their second goal off a deflection in the box to go ahead 2-0.
• Just before the half, Masciarelli and McDaid put shots on frame, however the Dalton State keeper was able to come away with the save to give the Roadrunners a 2-0 lead at the break.
• Life U put three shots on frame in the second half as Dalton State did not have an attempt on goal. The Running Eagles were unable to find the back of the net as the Dalton State keeper finished with five saves to preserve the 2-0 victory.
