MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's soccer team fell to (RV) University of the Cumberlands 5-0 Tuesday night in the Mid-South Conference opener for both teams.
NOTES
• Life U dropped to 0-8 (0-1) on the year, as Cumberlands improved to 6-1-1 (1-0).
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Allyse Roberts led the Running Eagles with two total shots and one on frame as
Paula Dieckmann also added a shot on goal.
•
Julia Vila Punset totaled five saves in the second half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Cumberlands took an early 1-0 lead in the 11
th minute of the match.
• The Patriots added their second goal in the 23
rd minute.
• Cumberlands added two additional scored before the break in the 41
st and 44
th to lead 4-0 at the half.
• 12 minutes into the second half Roberts put a shot on frame, but the Patriots keeper made the save.
• Cumberlands added its final goal of the match in the 66
th minute. Life U tallied three additional shots in the remainder of the match, but none were on frame as Cumberlands earned the 5-0 MSC victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Cumberlands led Life U in total shots 31-6 and shots on frame 14-2.
• Both teams tallied two corner kicks in the match.
