Men's Basketball Takes on Lindsey Wilson, Beat by Free Throws in Final Minute

COLUMBIA, KY. — The Kentucky road trip would come to a close in Columbia. The Running Eagles would take on Lindsey Wilson in the final game of the double header on Saturday.
Performances from the Running Eagles in the first half would keep the score in close quarters. Lindsey Wilson would maintain a lead, however it would stay in the single digits. Tory Ferguson would stand out in the first half, shooting nine points from behind the arc. The Running Eagles would only trail by one point at the close of the first.
In the second, the score margin would stay in single-digits, with the efforts from guard, Cam Horton. Horton would score the first eight points within 3 minutes of the second half, taking a lead of 40-37 for the Running Eagles. The Blue Raiders would fight back, finding their way back to a lead again.
In the post, Antwan Maxwell and Jeremy Joyner would be sent to the line throughout the second half. Despite this, Lindsey Wilson would maintain a modest lead throughout the final minutes of the game. The Running Eagles would try to claw at the lead, but the Blue Raiders would score their final eight points from the charity stripe.
The Running Eagles would close out the game with a loss, 77-85.
Horton would finish with 25 points for the Running Eagles, three points shy of his season high. Ferguson would tally 14 points, shooting 50% from the arc. Maxwell finished with 10 points for the Running Eagles before fouling out.
