(RV) Women's Lacrosse Earn Dominant Finish over Berry

MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The (RV) Life University women's lacrosse team earned a dominant 19-2 victory over Berry College despite the weather conditions Tuesday night at home.
 
NOTES
• Life U improved to 2-1 on the year as Berry fell to 1-3.
 
STANDOUT PERFORMERS 
• Tina Ricci led the way for the Running Eagles with a game-high four goals. She added four assists with five ground balls and seven draw controls.
• Maria Arvizu, Tori Adcox and Annslee Warchol each added three goals. Arvizu picked up five ground balls as Adcox and Warchol each tallied an assist.
• Lacy Legaspi added a pair of goals with an assist and four caused turnovers. Sandy Le and Erika Morgan also scored for the Running Eagles.    
 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
• Life U jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first ten minutes as Adcox scored a pair with Legaspi and Warchol finding the back of the net as well.
• Ricci found the back of the net a minute later as Warchol added her second with 16 minutes on the clock to give Life U a 6-0 lead.
• Ricci picked up her hat-trick in the first half as Le and Arvizu also scored in the final ten minutes to give Life U a 10-0 lead at the break.
• Berry scored just 58 seconds into the second half as the two teams traded goals. Berry scored its only two goals of the game in the first six minutes of the second half.
• Legaspi scored her second with 23 minutes left in the game as Life U would score eight unanswered to earn the 19-2 victory.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Life U finished with 46 total shots as 32 were on frame. Berry tallied nine shots with six on frame.
• Berry led Life U in saves 13-4.
• Life U was 16-of-18 on clears during the game as Berry finished 11-of-32.
• Berry committed 35 turnovers in the game as Life U finished with 20.
• Life U picked up 27 ground balls compared to the 17 from Berry. Life U also led Berry 16-7 in draw controls throughout the game.

• The women's lacrosse team will return to action on Saturday, February 22 as they travel to Ottawa, Kan. to face (RV) Ottawa University at 11:30 AM EST.
