CLEVELAND, Ga. ---- The No. 9 nationally ranked Life University women's lacrosse team earned the 17-6 road victory Saturday afternoon against Truett McConnell.
 
NOTES
• Life U improved to 4-1 on the year with its third consecutive double-digit win.
 
STANDOUT PERFORMERS 
• Tina Ricci led the way for the Running Eagles with four goals. She added six ground balls, four caused turnovers, three draw controls and a pair of assists.
• Brianna Freeman also finished with four goals.
• Skylar Clum tallied three goals with nine draw controls and a pair of ground balls. Defensively, the goalie pair of Olivia Quartermous and Reese Cook tallied nine saves.    
 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
• Life U jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first ten minutes as Clum scored a pair with assists from Quartermous and Ricci. Arvizu and Warchol also found the back of the net in the span.
• Another 4-0 run from Life U put the Running Eagles ahead 8-0 as Ricci, Le and Freeman scored with Arvizu picking up her second.
• With 3:42 on the clock, Truett McConnell scored its first goal of the game as Life U finished the half on a 3-0 run to lead 11-1 at the break.
• Truett McConnell went on a 4-2 run in the first 17 minutes of the second half to cut the lead to 13-5.
• Life U finished the game on a 4-1 run in the final 11 minutes to earn the 17-6 win.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Life U finished with 32 total shots as 26 were on frame. Truett McConnell tallied 25 shots with 15 on frame.
• Both teams finished with nine saves.
• Life U was 11-of-13 on clears during the game as Truett McConnell finished 6-of-6.
• Truett McConnell committed 18 turnovers in the game as Life U finished with 12.
• Life U picked up 21 ground balls compared to the 14 from Truett McConnell. Truett McConnell U led Life U 13-12 in draw controls throughout the game.
