CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. ---- The Life University men's basketball team bounced back in Mid-South Conference action Saturday night as they defeated Campbellsville on the road 88-70.
NOTES
• Life U improved to 5-3 (1-3) on the year, while Campbellsville dropped to 6-8 (4-7).
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
•
Jordan Hernandez led the Running Eagles offensively with 22 points and a pair of steals as he hit six shots from distance.
•
Isaiah Hart also finished in double figures with 20 points and four assists.

Lorenzo Ferrell (11) and
Trey Kelly added double digit performances for Life U as
James Moore led the team with 11 rebounds and four blocks with nine points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Five minutes into the first half, a three from Hart put the Running Eagles ahead 11-7. Back-to-back three's and a jumper put the Tigers in front 18-15, before a three from Lewis gave Life U the 20-18 lead with 10:11 on the clock. Trailing 26-25 with 6:30 remaining, Life U used a 14-4 run to lead by nine as Horton connected from deep. Life U went into the half ahead 41-34.
• Life U wasted no time getting started in the second half with a 17-2 run over the first five minutes after Hernandez connected on the triple, 58-36. Life U maintained the double-digit lead as another dagger from deep came out of the hands of Hernandez at the 6:26 mark to put /life U ahead 79-53.
• Life U continued to add pressure to the Campbellsville offense limiting the Tigers to 26 points in the second half as the Running Eagles earned the 88-70 road victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Life U finished 35-for-78 from the field, 44.9%, while Campbellsville shot 24-for-60, 40%. The Running Eagles finished 15-for-27 (55.6%) from beyond the arc, as the Tigers went 8-for-24, 33.3%.
• Life U led Campbellsville 6-4 in steals during the game and dominated the boards leading 51-33.
• Both teams finished with 36 points in the paint.
