WALESKA, Ga. ---- The No. 12 Life University women's volleyball team earned a quick 3-0 sweep over Reinhardt University on the road Wednesday night to extend the team's win streak to 14 games.
Life U took the first set 25-17 and dominated the second 25-8. With momentum secured, the Running Eagles earned the sweep 25-14 in the third set.
Life U led in every statistical category as a team earning double-digit kills in every set, while Reinhardt did not finish with more than nine. The Running Eagles totaled 37 kills for a .312 hitting percentage as the Eagles from Reinhardt were limited to 23 kills and a .029 hitting percentage. Life U also led 11-2 in aces, 6-3 in blocks, 34-12 in assists and 53-39 in digs.
Individually,
Lena Pucnik led the way offensively with 15 kills and a .412 hitting percentage. She added two service aces and six digs in her performance.
Jessie Prichard totaled 30 assists with a season-high six service aces and nine digs.
Marin Black totaled 19 digs with
Fayola Louis totaling seven kills with five block assists and three digs.
Morgan Furness added a pair of kills with four block assists and a solo block.
The women's volleyball team will return to Mid-South Conference action on Friday, October 15, when they travel to McKenzie, Tenn. to face Bethel University at 6 PM.
