Life U improved to 21-1 overall and 8-0 on the year with the 3-1 win. The Running Eagles dominated the first two sets 25-13 and 25-16, before the Bears answered in the third set 25-23. Life U closed out the match in the fourth set 25-14.
Life U led in every statistical category, as the Running Eagles totaled 59 kills and a .291 hitting percentage. They limited the Bears to 36 kills with a .143 hitting percentage. Life U also led in aces 12-4, blocks 5-3, assists 54-36 and digs 70-54.
13 Running Eagles were able to tally a kill in the match as
Caitlyn Neal finished with a team-high 10 kills and a .304 hitting percentage with a pair of service aces. Black tallied 24 digs with a service ace as
Jessie Prichard totaled 25 assists and two service aces with a pair of kills.
Madison Evans added four kills and two service aces as
Lena Pucnik finished with six kills and two service aces with two solo blocks.
The women's volleyball team will return to action on Wednesday, October 13, as they travel to Waleska, Ga. to face Reinhardt University at 6:30 PM.
