BOWLING GREEN, Ky. ---- The No. 10 nationally ranked Life University women's volleyball team advance to the Mid-South Conference Tournament semifinals with a 3-0 sweep over Shawnee State Thursday night.
The Running Eagles rolled to victory 25-12, 25-10 and 25-18. The team led in every statistical category except for blocks, in which the Bears led 3-2. Life U totaled 45 kills and a .356 hitting percentage, while the Bears managed 27 kills and a .131 hitting percentage. Life U led 11-0 in aces, 42-26 in assists and 53-45 in digs.
Individually,
Jessie Prichard paced the offense with 35 assists, three service aces, five digs and five kills.
Lena Pucnik added nine kills with zero errors and a .391 hitting percentage with two service aces and six digs.
Fayola Louis added eight kills with a .350 hitting percentage as
Morgan Furness totaled six kills in eight attempts for a .750 hitting percentage.
Marin Black added a pair of service aces with a team-high 15 digs.
The women's volleyball team will return to action in the MSC semifinals on Friday, Nov. 12, when they face Cumberland University at Bowling Green HS at 6:30 PM EST.
