NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- The Life University women's basketball team hit the road for a Tuesday evening match with Fisk University, dominating the paint in the contest to earn a 69-52 victory at Henderson A. Johnson Gymnasium.
Life U (3-3) bounced back to .500 on the season, cruising in the second half to pull away from Fisk for the win. The first quarter was fought back-and-forth tightly, neither team able to make any head way to pull away. The team held onto a one point lead, 13-12, to end the first quarter, shooting a poor .263 from the floor and only hitting on one of the eight threes they threw up over the period. After reclaiming the lead to end the first quarter, the women maintained the lead through the rest of the game, pushing the advantage to 33-28 headed into the half after an
Olivia Delk trip to the charity stripe.
The Bulldogs scored first to open the second half, but the Running Eagles answered by tearing off 13 unanswered points to take 1 46-30 lead with less than two minutes to go in the third. Coming into the final quarter of play with a 48-34 lead,
Lenise Santiago drew a foul on a three point attempt, connecting on two of her three free throw attempts.
Amara Edeh pushed the lead to a game-high 18 points, 60-42, with 4:30 to go into the game off a tough, put-back layup in the paint. From that point the women cruised to the 69-52 victory.
Two players broke into double-digit scoring for the Running Eagles, Delk leading the way with 17 points on an extremely efficient 7-for-9 shooting to go with six rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.

Amara Edeh led all players with 11 total rebounds.
