MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The (RV) Life University women's volleyball team honored its four seniors Saturday afternoon and earned a 3-1 Mid-Soutth Conference win over Bethel.

NOTES
• Life U improved to 23-6 (7-3) on the year as the team totaled a program-high 16 total blocks.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Lena
Pucnik led the Running Eagles offensively and tallied a double-double with 18 digs and 17 kills with three block assists.
•
Mary Zimmerman finished witth 10 kills and eight block assists.
•
Brie Montgomery picked up 27 assists in the match with a service ace.
Marin Black tallied 18 digs with four service aces.
Morgan Furness added six block assists as
Caitlyn Neal added five.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Both teams battled back and forth for the lead in set one as Bethel led 21-16 late in the set. A 9-2 Life U run finished the set with the Running Eagles on top 25-23 as Montgomery and Zimmerman provided the block for the win.
• Life U was dominant in set two, jumping out to a 20-11 lead. A 13-4 run from Bethel tied the set at 24, but a kill from Pucnik and an attack error gave Life. U the 26-24 win.
• Bethel jumped out to an early 5-1 lead in set three and maintained the lead out to the middle of the set 13-10. Life U tied the set at 14 before Bethel regained the lead. Trailing 24-20, Life U responded with a 4-0 run to tie the set, however the Wildcats tallied the final pair of points off a pair of errors to win 26-24.
• The fourth set again saw both teams trade the lead back and forth as Bethel tied the set at 14. Life U finished the set on an 11-2 run to earn the win as Black provided a pair of service aces to close the match 25-16.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Bethel led Life U in kills 47-44. Life U finished with a hitting percentage of .132 as Bethel finished with a .049 tallying 39 attack errors.
• Life U led Bethel 16-6 in blocks and 6-4 in aces.
• Bethel edged Life U in assists 46-42, and 81-73 in digs.

• The women's volleyball team will return to action on Monday, March 22, when they continue MSC play and host Campbellsville University in the Upper Gym at 6 PM.
