MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University men's volleyball team honored its lone senior
Javier Cornier before Thursday night's match, as the Running Eagles swept Truett McConnell 3-0.

• Life U improved to 12-6 (9-5) on the year as Truett McConnell dropped to 0-16.

STANDOUT PERFORMERSÂ

Josh Henson and
Ryan Ollie each picked up nine kills in the match as Henson led the Running Eagles with 14 digs.Â

Javier De Leon tallied 11 digs with six kills.
Jose Llaneza and
Diego Perez each added five kills in the match.

Jonathan Lemos picked up 26 assists and a service ace as Ollie added 10 assists. Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
• Life U trailed 5-3 early in set one, but an 11-2 run put the Running Eagles ahead 14-7 with the block from Cabana and Llaneza. Life U went on to win the set 25-13.
• After an early 2-1 lead from Truett McConnell, Life U rattled off 12 unanswered to lead 13-2. De Leon added the final kill as Life U won the second set 25-9.
• Life U never trailed in the third set, but led by one, 7-6 early on. The Running Eagles used an 8-2 run to distance themselves from the Bears leading 15-8 after the kill from Cabana. A 6-1 run ended the match as Life U earned the 25-12 win in the final set.Â

• Life U led Truett McConnell in every statistical category as the Running Eagles finished with 43 kills to the 16 from the Bears. Life U finished with a hitting percentage of .383 as Truett McConnell finished -.065.
• Life U led Truett McConnell 5-3 in blocks and 3-1 in service aces.
• Life U edged Truett McConnell in assists 40-14, and 53-26 in digs.
