LEBANON, Tenn. ---- Life University women's soccer held tight with No. 18 Cumberland University through the first 45 minutes of play, but four second half goals saw the team take the road loss in Mid-South Conference play Saturday afternoon.

NOTES
• Life U (3-4, 0-2 MSC) drops its second road conference game, while the Phoenix move on to (5-1-1, 1-0-1 MSC).

HOW IT HAPPENED 
• Life U took two shots, one on frame by Thora Hreggvidsdottir, in the first minute and a half of the game but did not take another shot until near the end of the period. The Running Eagles defense did a good job of holding off the Phoenix, Emily Hounsell collecting three saves during the period as the teams went into the break tied 0-0.
• The second half opened with a quick Cumberland goal. Cumberland recorded another goal in the middle of the second half to create a little more breathing room, before two more goals in the final 10 minutes of play gave the final score of 4-0.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Cumberland led the way in shots taken with 15 to Life U's eight, the Running Eagles also trailing 7-3 in shots on goal.
• With neither team recording too many shots on goal, the teams were tied at three each in saves. • Life U trailed in corner kicks, taking half as many at 4-2.
• Fouls were relatively close, the Phoenix being called on a few more at 14-10, while the Running Eagles were the only team to receive a yellow card.

UP NEXT
• The women's soccer team continues conference play for their next game, returning home to face 15th-ranked Lindsey Wilson for a game to be played at Kennesaw Mountain High School on Tuesday, September 28th at 5 PM.
