MONTGOMERY, Ala. - In the third game of the SSAC tournament, the Life U volleyball team was unable to keep pace with the Crusaders of William Carey in a 3-0 loss. 

Life U kept it close through the opening minutes of competition, but William Carey went on a 9-1 run towards the end of the first set. Life U was unable to overcome the deficit in a 25-15 opening set loss. 

The Running Eagles challenged late in the second, leading 21-20, but William Carey bounced back with a late charge to win the set 25-23. Life U did not go down without a fight in the third set, but unfortunately lost the set 22-25. 

Fayola Louis tallied nine kills while Je'Bria Green added eight. 

TURNING POINT:

--William Carey was dominant in the first set, putting away the Running Eagles 25-15. 

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:

--Naomi Eckert Rivera posted 25 assists to lead Life U.
