BLUE MOUNTAIN — The Life University women's basketball team fell in a SSAC contest Saturday afternoon, falling to the Toppers 89-61.
The Running Eagles were led in scoring by Tierra Tullis and Nekiyah Booker, who scored eight and seven, respectively. Tullis also recorded a team-high ten rebounds and snatched six steals in the losing effort.
To begin the game, the Running Eagles fell behind early, trailing by 16 at the end of the first quarter, the deficit grew to 26 by halftime, 54-28.
After the break, Life U began to find stride, outscoring the Toppers by five in the third quarter before the hosts shut the Running Eagles down again in the fourth, cruising to a 29 point victory.
