MARIETTA, Ga. - The men's basketball team struggled against a strong University of Mobile this Saturday afternoon in a SSAC play.
In the first ten minutes of the first half, the Running Eagles and the Rams had a close game. Halfway through the first half, the Rams ran away on the scoreboard, going into halftime 46-27. In the first half Cortez Johnson led the team with nine points, while the team totaled ten rebounds.
The Running Eagles struggled to get their first points of the second half and fell behind. Life U kept going and was able to go on an 11-0 run, to decrease the Rams lead. It wasn't enough as the Rams found their way back and the game finished 81-49.
Johnson led the team with 13 points, while Dara Olonade added 11 points and led the team with four rebounds. Tyreke Johnson and Matija Gledic both had four rebounds each as well. Olonade was able to score five out of his seven field goals during the game.
Up next, the Running Eagles will host Blue Mountain University (Miss.) next Saturday in the Eagles' Nest at 2PM.
