MARIETTA, Ga. - In their second AAC match up of the season, the Life U men's volleyball team was able to make quick work of St. Andrews University taking down the Knights in straight sets. The 3-0 win moved Life U to 2-0 in conference play. 

The Knights raced out to an 18-13 lead, but the Running Eagles did not let them end the set just yet. Life U was able to close the gap going on a 6-2 run towards the end with a Jeremy Ferreira service ace ending the set. The second set was another close battle before Life U used another late run to create space.

Life U led 24-23 with a Life U service error at the end, but Carlos Pinto capitalized to finish the set 25-23 with a kill. In the third, the Running Eagles rode momentum to a 10-6 start and did not look back from there.  

A kill by David Barcan ended the day and Running Eagles closed it out 25-20 to seal the 3-0 win. 

Carlos Pinto tallied 36 assists while freshman Xavier Jones added 12 kills. David  Barcan was key with ten kills too.

Up next, the Running Eagles travel to Warner to face the Royals on Friday, Feb. 16th at 7 p.m.
