WALESKA, Ga. - The Life U men's volleyball team dropped a midweek AAC match to Reinhardt University Wednesday evening 3-0. The Running Eagles kept it close throughout, falling 25-18, 26-24, 25-20. 

In the opening set, Reinhardt took the lead early, but the Running Eagles made it difficult towards the end of the set by bringing it to a five point trail.  The Eagles ended the first set on a service ace.  

Life U started early in the second set scoring the first two points with a Kill from Xavier Jones and a David Barcan service ace as the Eagles fought hard, but the Running Eagles did not surrender quietly. 

The Running Eagles trailed 18-16 but fought back to trail by one 24-23. Life U fought till the end but Reinhardt ended with a kill and an attack error by the Running Eagles to win the second set 26-24.

In the third set, Life U continued to battle it out with the Eagles, but a 6-1 run put the Running Eagles out of the way. Reinhardt claimed a 23-18 lead and did not look back, closing out the match 25-20 for the straight sets victory. 

Up next, the Running Eagles will continue their road stretch as they take on Morehouse College February 23 at 7 p.m.

--Reinhardt won in straight sets but the Running Eagles threatened throughout, dropping no set by more than seven points.
