MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life U men's lacrosse team dropped a conference match at home 12-10 against SCAD at Lupo Family Field Friday evening.

In the first quarter, the Bees took a 1-0 lead before Jacob Long put Life U on the board with 3:47 on the clock. Twenty seconds later, Life U was able to make another huge play after Christofer Tyson won the face off going straight to goal giving the Running Eagles a 2-1 lead going into the next quarter.

The second quarter was another close battle with SCAD being able to score three times and Brayden Hittle putting a goal in the back of the net to allow SCAD to lead 4-3 going into the break.

In the third, SCAD was able to break off and create a five goal difference 9-4, but Long was able to add one more goal with an assist from Mackoy Bodmer with 4:25 left in the third quarter to leave the Running Eagles trailing 9-5 going into the final 15 minutes.

SCAD scored another two goals at the beginning of the fourth quarter, but three straight goals from Long then two from Bodmer left the Running Eagles only trailing 11-10.

After SCAD won the face off from a violation they were able to put a questionable goal in the back of the net, but unfortunately it was given to SCAD allowing them to lead 12-10. Even though Life U won the last face off it was not enough to make a comeback.

Up next, the Running Eagles will head back to Florida to take on Keiser University next Saturday April 6.
