MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life U men's lacrosse team was leading 8-3 in the middle of the third quarter, until the Skyhawks made a comeback to take home the win 11-9 Wednesday afternoon.
Three Running Eagles tallied two goals on the day to help lead Life U at the beginning. However, the Skyhawks emerged victorious in a hard-fought game.
In the first minute of the game, Jacob Long was able to put off a quick goal with 14:10 remaining to make it 1-0 Running Eagles. The Skyhawks were scoreless until the middle of the second quarter until Point were able to put two on the board in the ninth minute.
The second quarter saw Point's offense open up as they added another goal. Life U was able to add two more goals in the last two minutes before heading into the break.
Both teams continued to battle it out in the third quarter with goals coming from Tristian Berry, Brayden Hittle, and Josh Bell. Point was able to add three goals to trail 9-6 going into the fourth quarter.
In the final 15 minutes, the Skyhawks were able to leave the Running Eagles scoreless by also adding five goals to allow them to take home the win after trailing the entire game.
That concludes the 2024 regular season for the Running Eagles.
