MARIETTA, Ga. – Thomas Rodella and Wilfred Tchoupa Kamden both scored three goals to lead the Life U men's soccer team to a 9-0 win over Spartanburg Methodist College on Sunday at Lupo Family Field. The Running Eagle ended the weekend with their first win of the season.

Rodella opened the game with a goal in the 9' minute. Just two minutes later, freshman Wilfred Tchoupa Kamden found the ball in front of the net off a pass from Timon Kuiper to put it past the Pioneers goalkeeper creating a 2-0 lead Running Eagles.

Just 20 seconds later, Rodella was able to put another one on the board with an assist by Manuel Carrillo and put the Running Eagles up by three.

Junior Chima Chukwu put up a goal in the 29' minute to add to Life U's scoring frenzy with a pass from Ole Kuperus and Rodella.  The Running Eagles wanted to take all odds going into the half from an impressive goal from Diego Pereira to lead 5-0 at the break.

Life U went on to score early in the half with a goal from Kamden again and was also able to add an assist in the 52' to give Kuiper a goal too.

Kamden and Rodella ended the game with their third goal of the night to allow the Running Eagles to win 9-0 for their first victory of the season.

"We did really well today in difficult circumstances. We have a brand new team and it's impressive that the lads work so well so early in the season already" Coach Alex Pama said. "They created a lot of chances and executed the game plan very well. Now the focus goes on Wednesday when a good side and program comes to visit us for hopefully another good match."
