MONTREAT, N.C. - The Life U women's soccer team started off strong in the first half with two goals to lead to a 3-1 victory over Montreat College Saturday afternoon. 

Junior Lilja Bjorg Olafsdottir delivered the first goal and the game-winner in the first half, giving Life U the advantage to take away all opportunities for the Cavaliers.

Life U was able to add another goal before the break with a cross from Sacha Millward to Lottie Turner which gave the Running Eagles a 2-0 lead. 

Life U had a 13-1 edge in shots during the first 45 minutes.

15 minutes out of the first half Phoenix Parks found Millward to bring the lead to 3-0. 

However, Montreat attempted to fight back by putting a goal in the back of the net to make it 3-1.  The Cavaliers were not able to put more points on the board giving Life U  their fourth win of the season.  

Up next, the Running Eagles will host Georgia Gwinnett College Tuesday September 3rd at 7 p.m. on Lupo Family Field.

- Olafsdottir scored in the 22' minutes to allow the Running Eagles to take over for a 3-1 win.
