Box Score MARIETTA, Ga. — The Life University women's volleyball team completed a successful reverse sweep of Brewton-Parker in a tough home contest. The Running Eagles kept it close in the first two, but were eventually able to put it all together in the final three sets to come out victorious.
In the first set, neither team were able to maintain a lead as the margin of separation never surpassed three points. The Running Eagles held an advantageous 15-13 lead, but the Barons battled back to take the lead quickly after. Once claiming the 16-15 lead, the Barons never trailed again in the first set, closing out the opening frame 25-23.
The second set saw an initial response from Life U as the Running Eagles jumped ahead to a convincing 5-1 lead. Life U then held the lead until 14-all before the Barons rallied together to go on an impressive 11-2 run, closing out the set at 25-16.
In the third set, the Running Eagles again stormed out to a large lead earning a huge separation to start, 12-5. A small push from the Barons provided initial resistance, but it was short-lived with the set quickly coming an end, 25-13.
