THOMASVILLE, Ga. - The Life U men's soccer team dropped its first contest of the 2024 season to Thomas University late Wednesday afternoon 3-2. The Running Eagles looked poised to rally back into the contest in the second half but a late Nighthawks goal secured the win for Thomas.

The Nighthawks opened the scoring in the 37' minute taking the first lead of the game. Life U remained scoreless until after the break. Thomas Rodella found the ball from Wilfred Tchoupa Kamdem to bring the score to a 1-1 tie. 

TU quickly turned around and took the lead again just over nine minutes later to bring the lead to 2-1. Life U was not going to let the Nighthawks run away with the win just yet with adding a Sem Van Der Leer goal three minutes later to bring it back to a draw 2-2. 

After 20 minutes with many shots taken by both teams, the Nighthawks were able to tab another goal to secure the 3-2 win. 

Up next, Life U will host Point University in SSAC compeititon at 7:30 p.m. on Lupo Family Field. 

TURNING POINT:

- TU rallied for a third goal in the 79th minute to seal the contest.
