MOUNT VERNON, Ga. — The Life University women's volleyball team continued its strong conference form Saturday afternoon, earning a straight-set victory (25–15, 25–20, 25–17) over Brewton-Parker College in Southern States Athletic Conference action. The win pushed the Running Eagles to 10-6 overall and 5-3 in SSAC play.
Life U set the tone early and never looked back, hitting .333 in the opening frame with 14 kills and just three errors. Paola Vega and Sarah Pipping fueled the offense with a combined nine kills in the set, while Gabriela Rivera directed a balanced attack that closed on a 7–1 run to secure a 25–15 win.
Set two proved to be the tightest of the match, featuring six ties through the midway point. The Barons briefly led 16–15 before the Running Eagles answered with a pair of kills from Esosa Ehigiator and a timely ace by Alanis Calderon. Vega sealed the frame with back-to-back kills to push Life U ahead two sets to none.
In the third, the Running Eagles maintained full control, continuing their efficient offensive rhythm while limiting errors. Life U hit .312 in the set and out-blocked Brewton-Parker 3–1, with Ehigiator leading the effort at the net. Vega and Pipping remained sharp from the pins as the team closed out the sweep, 25–17.
