Mobile, Ala. — The Life University women's soccer team bounced back with a 2-0 win over the University of Mobile Saturday afternoon. After a slow first half, the Running Eagles posted two goals in the second half to claim the road SSAC victory.
The Running Eagles created plenty of chances in the opening half, sending 13 shots (nine on goal) in the first half. The backline from the Running Eagles was also outstanding, holding the Rams to just two shots in the period. Heading to the half, the two teams were tied in a stalemate.
In the second half, Sacha Millward broke the game open in the 71st minute scoring the first goal of the contest, her 18th goal of the season. About 16 minutes later, sophomore Odalis Tapia secured her third goal of the season with an amazing sliding goal inside the box.
Elora Niederpruem made multiple saves, after tallying two in the first half, the multi-time SSAC Defensive Player of the Week secured seven more in the second. The shutout was Niederpruem's 7th of the season.
