Men's Wrestling Wins Big on the Beltline

ATLANTA, Ga. — Under the lights at Monday Night Garage along the Atlanta Beltline, the Life University men's wrestling team delivered a flawless performance Wednesday night, rolling to a dominant 58–0 shutout over Andrew College. The venue's atmosphere set the tone as the Running Eagles earned bonus points in all ten official bouts, overwhelming the visiting Tigers from start to finish.

Life U opened the dual with five straight pins, seizing control early. At 125 lbs, Mikey Doerr set the tone with a fall at 2:26 over Corey Dye. At 133 lbs, Isaiah Rubio followed with another pin, sticking Powell Gilbert at 4:59.

The momentum continued at 141 lbs, where Mauro Michel piled up early offense before securing a fall at 4:34 over Clint Gilbert. At 149 lbs, Dante Olivero kept the energy going inside Monday Night Garage, finishing Thawbaan As-Sidiq in 2:43 for the team's fourth straight pin.

At 157 lbs, Fabian Padilla produced the fastest fall of the night, ending his match in just 56 seconds.

The Running Eagles then stayed in bonus-point mode at 165 lbs, where Jaden New dominated in a 19–3 technical fall over Riley Brewer, going the full seven minutes.

At 174 lbs, Reese Jones added another quick pin at 1:30 against Noah Lucas, shooting an explosive double-leg takedown before securing the pin. The pressure continued at 184 lbs, where Tre Morrisette secured a fall at 2:39 over Clayton Brown.

At 197 lbs, Gio Jackson controlled every position in a 19–2 technical fall against Jason Brown. Heavyweight Gabriel Jacobs closed out the dual with a forfeit, locking in the 58–0 sweep.

The Running Eagles also swept all three exhibition matches, highlighted by falls from Konlin Weaver and Connor Cooper and a 4–0 decision from Mauro Michel.

Up next, the Running Eagles regroup this weekend, hosting the annual Lucha Open this Saturday, November 22nd at Legacy Arena in Douglasville.
