CONWAY, Ark. — The Life University men's wrestling team put together a dominant, top-to-bottom performance at the Mustang Invitational on Saturday, producing seven individual champions, a runner-up, and a third-place finisher in one of the program's most complete tournament efforts of the season. The Running Eagles piled up bonus-point victories across nearly every weight and showcased depth throughout the varsity lineup.

Leading the charge at 125 lbs was Mikey Doerr, who tore through the bracket with a tech fall and three straight pins to secure the tournament title. Doerr opened with a 22–6 tech fall, followed by falls in 0:36, 5:39, and a blazing 31-second pin in the championship bout.

At 141 lbs, Mauro Michel delivered another flawless championship run, earning three early falls—28 seconds, 3:43, and 59 seconds—before claiming the title via medical forfeit in the finals. Teammate Clayton Hicks added depth at the same weight, rebounding from an opening-round loss with a tech fall and a pin to advance deep into the consolation bracket.

At 157 lbs, Fabian Padilla continued his impressive form with a 4–0 day and the weight-class crown. Padilla earned a decision, pinned his next two opponents, and closed his run with a dominant 17–2 tech fall in the finals.

At 165 lbs, Alexander Couto produced one of the most overwhelming statistical performances of the event, racking up three tech falls by a combined 49–3 margin before taking the championship via forfeit. Couto's 15–0, 19–3, and 15–0 scores highlighted one of the day's most overpowering offensive efforts.

At 174 lbs, Konlin Weaver cruised to another Life U title behind two tech falls and a major decision, outscoring his opponents 55–12 for the day. Weaver punctuated the run with a 17–2 tech fall in the championship match.

The Running Eagles kept rolling at 184 lbs, where Tre Morrisette completed a clean sweep of three consecutive tech falls—19–4, 19–4, and 17–2—to secure yet another first-place finish for the Running Eagles. IN the Championship bout, #4 Morrisette controlled the entire match to take down #7 Rocco Horvath from Cumberland (Tenn.). 

At 197 lbs, Anthony Lowe claimed the title behind two pins and a tight 7–5 decision in an all-Life final against teammate Efren Arizmendez. Arizmendez reached the championship bout with two quick falls, securing a strong runner-up finish and adding to Life's near-complete control of the bracket.

Rounding out the podium performances was heavyweight Leonard Christian, who placed third following a first-period pin and back-to-back decision victories in the consolation rounds.

Life also saw early success from Emilio Santana (133), who opened his tournament with a first-period fall before being forced to withdraw via medical forfeits in his subsequent matches.

With seven champions, a runner-up, and widespread bonus-point production, the Running Eagles showcased one of their most focused tournament outings of the season as they continue to build momentum heading into the winter slate.
