Records: Life U, 0-1; Kennesaw State, 1-2

MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life University women's lacrosse team opened its 2025 season with a home loss to NCAA Division I opponent Kennesaw State University. It was all Owls from the jump, with the visitors remaining in control for the majority of the contest.

Life U and the Owls traded opportunities early before KSU put away the first of the game. All it took was one for the momentum to slide to the visitors as the Kennesaw State offense put away five goals in a four minute span midway through the first. The Running Eagles were unable to respond as KSU took an 8-0 lead into the second.

The defense fought to slow down the stout Owls attack, limiting the damage to just three goals in the second period. Life U trailed in shots 23-5 in the first half.

Out of the break, Life U seemed to have an answer on the defensive end, holding KSU to just two goals. However, the offense continued to be stonewalled, registering just one shot in the period.

Lexi Santiago finally broke through on the offensive end in the fourth period on a free position opportunity, marking the opening goal of the season.
