MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life University women's lacrosse team fell in double overtime to the Eagles of Reinhardt by a score of 15-14 late Thursday night. Life U led late in the contest but three goals from the visitors in the final three minutes tied the game and forced overtime.

Both offenses showed out in the first, with each team scoring five goals in the period. The visiting Eagles led 5-3 in the final minute of the first but late goals from Hannah Leon and Roxie Beasley leveled the contest.

In the second, the Life U defense found a way to slow the offensive onslaught, allowing just two goals. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the field, the Running Eagles offense continued to fire on all cylinders. The team scored five goals for the second straight period and carried a 10-7 lead into the break.

The third period proved to be a neutral period, with both teams scoring a pair of goals to move the contest to 12-9.

Life U looked to secure the contest in the fourth period, with Lexi Santiago opening the scoring and pushing the lead to four. However, the visiting Eagles refused to go away, scoring four goals in the final six minutes of play to force overtime. This stretch include the final three goals of regulation and the game-tying goal with 00:31 seconds left to play. Reinhardt had a chance to win the game with just seconds remaining, but Ashley Hammel stood strong in goal to force OT.
