MARIETTA, Ga. --  The Life University women's flag football team dominated the Lions of Emmanuel this past Saturday in its 2025 home opener. It was all Running Eagles from the jump, with the offense tossing up 27 points in the first quarter.

The Life U defense immediately forced a three and out to start the contest. Akera Jackson wasted no time, tossing a 44 yard touchdown pass for the opening score of the contest. After forcing another three and out, the offense once again wasted no time as Cheyenne Brooks connected with Altierra Gooch for a 30 yard touchdown reception. Now leading 14-0, it was the Running Eagles defenses turn to put up some points, with Gooch making a house call. Jumping the route, Gooch took the interception back for six and a successful extra point gave Life U a 21-0 lead.
