DECATUR, Ala.- The Life U Competitive Cheer team had a weekend full of competition. On Friday morning, the SSAC Roundup was in the Priceville Event Center where the team took part in two competitions. In the first competition, on Friday, the Running Eagles placed third out of eight teams, posting a score of 83.20. In the second round, the Running Eagle's made some improvement and posted a score of 84.23.
Southern States Athletic Conference Competitive Cheer Championships began on Saturday with the Running Eagle's bringing home a fifth-place finish.
Life U finished the event with an overall score of 84.76, finishing behind Florida Memorial University, UT Southern, Mobile, and Loyola. The Running Eagles opened with a strong preliminary round score of 82.23. In the final round, Life U scored an 85.26 for the final average of 84.75.
Head coach Sara Killough shared her thoughts on the weekend, stating, "Life U Cheer had an unforgettable weekend in Dacatur, wrapping up the 2025 season. We had four outstanding performances and saw our highest scores of the year." Additionally, the Running Eagles had three individuals earn SSAC All-Conference honors.
