John Snow Named Head Men's Lacrosse Coach

04.17.25

MARIETTA, Ga. --- Life University Director of Athletics Jayme Pendergast announced the hiring of John Snow as Life University's Head Men's Lacrosse Coach on Thursday afternoon.

Snow is a prominent figure in the NAIA men's lacrosse scene, having won four NAIA National Championships (2017, 2018, 2019, 2021) at Reinhardt. Since 2017, he boasts an impressive 66-3 recorded in the NAIA, including a 36-game win streak.

Director of Athletics Jayme Pendergast shared her excitement on the addition of Snow, stating, "We were fortunate to have a really talented candidate pool for this position, which speaks to the phenomenal efforts involved in getting a new program off the ground and quickly rising to one of the top in the NAIA. John has an immense passion for the sport, a proven ability to recruit high-caliber student-athletes, and a love for developing student-athletes as people. His experience in the NAIA is deep, and I have full confidence he will quickly build upon the solid foundation we have. Bringing in a coach with so much experience will be an asset for our lacrosse team, and entire department, as I expect our head coaches to bring leadership value outside of just their team. I look forward to working with John and supporting his efforts."

Following his dominance at Reinhardt, Snow transitioned to Coker University as the Head Coach where he recruited the largest number of players in program history. He also was responsible for recruiting top talent that included a First Team All-Conference and Third Team All-American caliber player at the NCAA Division II level.

Following his two and a half year stint at Coker, Snow transitioned to West Forysth High School, where he was an assistant coach and offensive coordinator.

Snow expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and challenge ahead, saying, "I couldn't be more excited for the opportunity I've been given, and I can't thank Jayme Pendergast enough for having the confidence in me to lead this program. The campus, the location and the facilities here at Life University are second to none, and the success of the athletics department is contagious. Life lacrosse is a young program, but the foundation is very strong. I look forward to building on that, and growing this program into a national contender. I'm very happy to be back in the NAIA and can't wait to get started!"

Outside of the college and high school game, Snow owns and operates the Georgia Lacrosse Club, founded in January 2024.

In his own career, Snow was a three-year starter at Cornell University. During his time, he earned a Second Team All-Ivy team nod while leading his squad in points (44) and assists (25) his senior year. Snow graduated from Cornell in 1991 with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Communications.
