KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Life University men's volleyball team saw its season come to an end Thursday afternoon in the AAC Tournament, falling 3-1 to Webber International (28-26, 22-25, 25-21, 25-18).
The Running Eagles (12-18, 5-8 AAC) dropped a tight opening set before bouncing back with a strong 25-22 victory in the second to even the match at 1-1. But momentum shifted in the third as Webber pulled away late and carried that control into the fourth to seal the win.
Life U finished with 54 kills, led by Serano Keijl, who dominated offensively with 23 kills, 6 digs, and 23 points. Jakub Kantorowicz added 11 kills and 2 service aces, while Carlos Pinto distributed 43 assists and chipped in 6.0 points of his own.
Defensively, libero Alexis Prado paced the team with a match-high 18 digs, and Pinto and Kantorowicz each added 7. Jeremy Ferreira anchored the block with 6 total blocks, helping Life tally 7 as a team.
Despite out-killing the Warriors and showing stretches of dominance, the Running Eagles struggled with consistency, committing 31 attack errors and 13 service errors. Webber used a balanced offense and strong net presence to close out the final two sets.
With the 3-1 loss, the Running Eagles' 2025 season comes to a close after a hard-fought tournament battle.
