Monster Second Half Propels Men's Lacrosse Past Point

WEST POINT, Ga. - The Life University men's lacrosse team rallied behind a monster second half to take down the Skyhawks of Point on Wednesday night. Despite trailing at the half time break, Life U posted 12 goals in the second half to claim a victory in the final regular season game of the season.

It was a disastrous start for the Running Eagles as Point poured in the first five goals of the game. The offense struggled to find anything to respond with while the defense remained unable to stop the Skyhawks from scoring. Life U trailed 5-0 at the end of the first.

A pair of goals to open the second period got the Running Eagles on the board before Point scored its only goal of the period. Brayden Hittle added his first late in the half to cut the lead down to three heading into the break.

The half time break did wonders for Life U, who came out on fire to start the third period. Tristan Berry got the scoring going as Jared Cordova followed suit, scoring three-straight for a hat trick. Eric Manfredonia got his name in the score sheet shortly after as the Running Eagles ended the third with an 8-6 lead.

The run of goals continued into the fourth period before the Skyhawks finally responded with one of their own. However, the goal did little to slow the offense as Cordava added his fourth and fifth of the contest just minutes after. Manfredonia scored two straight to complete his hat trick before one final goal capped off a 15-8 win for Life U.

The win over Point marks the end to the 2025 regular season for the Running Eagles.
