Track & Field Travels Small Group to Outdoor Music City Challenge

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Life University Track and Field team traveled eight athletes to Nashville to compete in the Outdoor Music City Challenge this past weekend. Running against Division I talent, the group also had to overcome multiple weather-related issues throughout the weekend.

Emeline Delaville showed off at the meet, placing sixth in the women's 800m with the second fastest time in the NAIA this season (2:08.58). Her automatic qualifying time is just .14 seconds behind the current season-best mark. Teammate Briana Campbell also had a standout meet, running the fastest time in the NAIA this season in the women's 100m hurdles. Posting a 13.05 in the prelims, Campbell is nearly two-tenths of a second faster than the next closest athlete. She did not stop there, winning the women's 100m dash with an A-Standard time of 11.45. This time also marks the fastest in the NAIA this season.

Tobiloba Oniyide posted a B-Standard time in the men's 100m dash prelims with a mark of 10.38. He also went on to place fourth in the finals of the event.

Abedelemejid Kerebo narrowly missed a B-Standard time in the men's 800m (1:52.91). 1:52.00 is the B-Standard mark for the NAIA.

In the men's 400m hurdles, Sean Hewitt placed fourth with a time of 53.99. Teammate Jordan Dave placed seventh in the men's 100m dash (10.57).

Najah Gibson placed 20th in the women's 400m (57.53).
